Teachers Needed in Beijing, China

Our private school in Beijing seeks dedicated teachers for its accelerated elementary English program. Positions are available to start in mid-August for the 2009-2010 school year. A perfect job for new teachers wanting to teach abroad for the first time or experienced teachers looking for a comfortable and consistent work environment.

Job description:

- 15 classroom hours/week
- You will be assigned two classes between first and sixth grade
- No more than 15 students in each class
- Monday through Friday working schedule with half-days every Friday

Minimum requirements:

- Bachelor¡¯s Degree
- North American native English (our method is an American method)
- A teaching certificate
OR
-at least two years relevant teaching experience

Pay and benefits:

- 6000 RMB/month £¨1000RMB/month bonus for applicants with a Master¡¯s Degree£©
- Airfare reimbursement up to $850
- 2200 RMB travel allowance (during Spring Festival)
- Health insurance
- Furnished Western-style apartment (including utilities)
- Transportation to work and home each day (10 minutes)

Teachers Needed in Beijing, China

Beijing Royal School -- Friday, 25 July 2008, at 12:55 p.m.

Beijing Royal School (BRS) currently has openings for ESL teachers to work in its newly developed AEOP (American Education Oriented Program) program. Positions begin on Sept 1, 2008. Contract is annual but renewable on satisfactory job performance. Selected candidates are expected to teach up to 20 class periods per week in both spring and fall semesters (each class period is 40 minutes in length) and teach some summer classes or direct summer camp activities as assigned.

BRS is a China-Foreign Joint Cooperative Education Institution located in the Changping District of Beijing with convenient bus and subway connections to the center of Beijing. Detailed information about BRS can be obtained from the following website: www.bjroyalschool.com.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. American English as primary language;
2. a minimum of a Bachelor¡¯s degree in English from an accredited Western university or in other relevant areas with a certificate in TESL;
3. in good health to pass the Chinese medical examination for foreign expert certificate;

Preferred qualifications:
1. a Masters degree in English or TESL;
2. experience of teaching at a secondary or post-secondary level school;
3. experience of working with Chinese students;
4. familiarity of American college entrance standard tests;
5. experience in teaching AP courses;

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience (8,000 -12,000 Yuan/mo. after tax). Other benefits include 40 days of winter vacation (1/10-2/20, 2009) and a short summer vacation of 10 in late July or early August. In addition, there will be one day off on Thanksgiving day and Christmas day. One r/t int¡¯l airline ticket from Beijing to the int¡¯l or regional airport near the selected Candidate¡¯s hometown will be provided pending on completion of annual contract (reimbursement will be up to 10,000 Yuan in Chinese currency if ticket is not purchased through the office of BRS). A furnished one or two bedroom apartment in the vicinity of BRS will be provided free of charge (Cable TV, Broadband Internet and utility expenses not included).
